When western people could happily use Hindu / Sancrit words like Guru, Karma, etc, why not use "Puranas" instead of mythology? It really bothers

'The Maurya Empire was a largely agrarian empire where the state controlled the irrigation system and used tax revenues to pay for it. Archeology shows that the empire had a high standard of living, with brick houses, stone palaces in Pataliputra, and highly polished stone sculptures. Ashoka planted trees along the roads for shelter from the sun and built watering places along the major routes.'
