    Ok - received mine today.

Have to say pretty impressed for the price. Yes, it isn't 4K but it is a bright IPS panel with good contrast.

It also balances well with my other 27" 1080p in a dual monitor setup - but this one is better than that (Samsung) monitor of a few years ago.

Mine arrived today too. Very impressed for the price. Nice solid metal stand, very thin, two digital inputs (hdmi & displayport, came with a displayport cable), lovely picture and brightness (reduced it to 60 for daily use)

Only downside is it appears to lack freesync. Cannot see any way to enable it if it does.

    Happy to answer any questions.

Do not recommend 1080p for anything above 23/24 inches for a monitor. The pixels are too big you can see each individual one.

Over the last few years my near distance vision has deteriorated so I now need varifocals, and it's given me more of an appreciation for optical comfort.

I still use my 34" 1440p ultrawide, but I can definitely see how many (older people particularly) people would just love a 27 inch 1080p screen.

Just having everything bigger and easier to read (without mucking about with font sizes in your OS) has it's own attractiveness, and I wouldn't be 'sniffy' about that now.

And even for casual gamers who aren't fussy; they can get a big, immersive, screen and (hopefully) decent framerates with a modest/older GPU?

There is definitely a use, and no doubt, a market for this size/resolution combination, and while I'm not there yet, I'm glad these exist. (edited)

Good price, not sure I could do 1080p on a 27" monitor again, being able to see so much blur due to the low pixel density. Good as a secondary or for more of a TV use case for sure, just personally not a fan of such a low res on that size display, but I am a bit bias having been using one of those bargain Crossover korean imports for the last 10 years (27" 1440p, £150) that used the LG panels from Apple's old cinema display. Where can I find out more about this bargain crossover Korean import? Was it a one off deal or are there still modern equivalents around?

What a sweeping statement. What monitors aren’t made in china?

I bought a 22 inch 2nd hand iiyama monitor on ebay for £15.00. If you're just looking for a cheap monitor, might be worth looking at the ones being flogged on ebay/Facebook

    Two of them arrived yesterday.
    I'm very very impressed.

Using daily 165Hz IPS 3440 x 1440, so can compare only to it

No dead pixels on both of them
Spacing between the pixels is actually pretty small. This is very common problem with cheap monitors
    Colours looks outstanding.
Accuracy seems to be very good out of box, although I'm no expert at all. At least it looks very pleasant to my eyes.
Switching to fast response time, gaming looks very decent in 100fps. Horizon Forbidden west looks really no different than on my higher resolution screen.

Downside, as expected - 27" and 1080p is not really made for displaying text. Maybe someone who never dealt with 4k or at least 1440p wouldn't notice.
On the other hand 1080p @ 27" is perfect size for gaming at 100fps without donating a kidney to buy GPU.

Overall extremely happy, absolutely nothing to complain about for £76. Kids already over the moon.

Wow, heat from me. Excellent specification for the money. Will be grabbing on myself I think for the wife's PC 😁

Was about to buy before I noticed no mention of freesync support. Anyone noticed that?
    Alex_H's avatar
Bought as found a few references to adaptive sync elsewhere so will give it a try.

Nice. Heat added. Shame I don't need another 1080p monitor.

Promo has probably ran out. Doesn't work for this screen nor does it work for the 22 inch one

Didn't work for me. Created an account, signed out and signed in. Added monitor to basket, checked out, added code it said not available.
Signed out signed back in, went to checkout, entered code it said "this code is already in your account", still no discount on the total.

Anyone got one I can steal?
  22. Alex_H's avatar
It's only got a 75hz panel compared to the 100hz on this. Otherwise it's a slightly better monitor.
  23. ZazZYo's avatar
The resolution on these is shockingly mediocre, if there’s a better deal in 2 weeks I’ll send these back

It's 1080p what are you expecting for this price 4k

Anyone got a unidays code I can use?

In my opinion 1080p is too low resolution at this size of screen... I have a 14" laptop that is 1080p and it looks super crisp and sharp because the screen is small enough that the pixels are still small. But on my 23" 3D monitor the pixels are much larger and very visible... by the time you get to 27" it's like pixel art.

This screen would be great for gaming, because you get to play in HDR at high refresh rate on a big screen for a third of the price of a 2k or 4k equivalent... but I wouldn't want to use it for any serious reading/writing work.
