Why is it that Fender acoustics don't carry the same prestige as electrics?

Yeah it's a funny thing ..not sure why ...I used to have a cd60 ...cost me a hundred quid and was a good guitar ...not a million miles away from my £500 Yamaha one

Recently finally got to try one of the paramount ones ...again a nice guitar and a lot for your money .. especially with the case ...the only thing I found it was surprisingly light...but felt nice in the hands and sounded alright ....from what I could tell as someone was sat in the corner hammering away on a bass (edited)

The natural finish version was a couple of quid cheaper than this even last week, there's a thread on here. Given the value of the Fender hard case it's a brilliant guitar for this money.

Good price largely because of the case.

Reason no one rates Fender acoustics is that none of them are USA made. They're not considered "real" Fenders by purists (they always used to be made by Cort or Samick, but they may well have outsourced to factories in China or Indonesia these days).

They're not bad guitars at all. It's just they're usuallly priced a little on the high side because they're trading on the name.

Tbh I've met folk who swear blind there's really only a couple of factories churning out 90% of guitars made these days. It's a bit like sunglasses (with 80%+ of all of them being made by Luxottica).

would'nt be surprised at all....bit like tv screens....think regardless of the company they always used to be made in just 2 or 3 factories
