can this be used to fill curtain pole mess and reattach?

Ah, for some reason, I missed the part where you asked about 'reattach'. in your earlier comment. Hmmm - you might be okay, if you've built up a strong backing, but maybe not. You might be better to attach a pole that has a wider base so it straddles the weak point. Or as Ricotta points out, you could always apply a wide but thin circle of ply-wood over this hole and screw into that. Once it's painted the same colour as your wall, it'd might be okay looking. How long will this last on a shelf... Can I use it for several jobs over a couple of years or one and done?

Not used this one before but I find they all seem to go bad after a while. I now buy the stuff you mix yourself

Nice, hot. Check what comes though, don't just put it in unopened outer pack on a garage shelf for later. Amazon will odds on fix it with another send of the same if it's leaked in transit but you need to claim.
