Yet again Red Rock UK selling US products onto the unsuspecting UK people.

They also sell "As New" products that are heavily worn.
I urge you to make sure this is a 100% sealed product otherwise it may well be used, and missing the standard accessories.

I hate seeing their name on HUKD as they are such a bad seller, yet somehow they have special status on eBay and HUKD.

Their customer service was the worst, I mean it, the worst customer service I have ever dealt with on eBay. So rude, so unhelpful, it was like speaking to a private seller who did not care.

When you see Red Rock, avoid.

Should really add in the title "US fire sticks" and the company seem crap going by a lot of people's comments.

Don't let it go hot and HUKD affiliate commissions

Just be aware, Amazon are actually bricking firesticks just out of warranty. They know what the issue was immediately & unfortunately cause i was just out of warranty they could only offer me 10, 20, 30% discount to buy a new one.

Besides what you say, what is the proof they are doing this, because I have several that are out of warranty by some distance, so it doesn't reflect my experience.

Used to wholeheartedly recommend them on price, but with Amazon plastering the home screen with auto playing video ads (yes there's a setting buried that turns them off, it's the principle) and adding ads to prime video unless you pay even more, it's just not worth what it once was.

Had the user experience and the software been smooth and bug free, then these practices would probably be deemed acceptable, but the software is as tragic as it ever was.

It still works well enough for dodgy footy streams using Silk, but that's only with the adguard DNS workaround.

Quite a few series have randomly stopped working on netflix, out of the very few I'd actually care to watch on it. You'll get to the same spot on every episode and it goes to a black screen before netflix tells you it's your fire stick. Then you try it on your TV's apps and the same thing happens. Definitely not your issue Netflix 🙃

I'll be going back to dodgy streams for all content and buying a cheap mini PC for the TV. When you're paying stupid prices that are always increasing for services that you aren't getting anymore, then piracy of content becomes more appealing and in this case significantly more convenient.

I did manage to watch the rest of the series I was interested in, just not on the platform that created it.

Just use IPTV for live sports on the firestick, easy. And/or Plex for ‘home movies’. Still excellent piece of equipment and easy to setup

If photo accurate these are the US ones. Afaik still work here

I think the answer is no, but is there a remote that has a source option. It'd be useful to be able to use the remote for changing to my console or TV.

Think you can do this in the firestick settings

I also had a bad experience with them with another item, a mouse.
I got an acceptable resolution, but it did take a lot of hard work.

Pity this is a US one, as I missed the Amazon sale.
I am after 2 fire sticks as I got new TV's, and I much prefer the Amazon operating system.

I've ordered one. Is there a significant difference between this and the UK one?
