Hotel
This smart-looking hotel scores a double coup – it sits on the beach and has a great pool scene, too. The Alua Helios Bay stretches out alongside a sandy beach, so it’s ideal in terms of location. What’s more, it’s less than a five-minute walk from the pretty town of Obzor. The hotel's dining scene is headlined by a big buffet place that comes with show-cooking stations. Plus, there are another pair of dining spots that dish up Asian dishes and healthy options.

Hotel Highlights
  • 5 x Bars
  • 1 x Kids pools
  • 2 x Pools
  • 4 x Restaurants
  • Outdoor pool
  • Terra Café
  • Kids' pool

I feel bored in holiday after 7days for some reason.

Anyone been to Bulgaria? Worth a visit?

I'm from Bulgaria and the general consensus among me and friends is:
    - If you want something cheap and relaxed you go to one of the smaller towns like Primorsko, Obzor(this deal), and the surrounding areas
    - If you want to party and drink a lot you go to Sunny Beach (Golden Sands is distant second for this). Definitely the trashiest place in the country but some people are attracted to that. And Nessebar is right nextdoor which is IMO a very nice authentic place to see if you get tired of the partying.
    - If beach quality and quietness trumps all for your trip you go to the Eastern end of Greece instead. A bit more expensive. The villages on the coast close to Kavala are very quiet and nice, and the water/sand is generally a tier above what you can get in Bulgaria. But spend too long there and you are likely to be bored because there isn't much other than beaches and a few restaurants.

For what it’s worth, we stayed in this hotel last year for 7 nights. Nice hotel, clean, good range of food in the buffet restaurant, attentive staff. It was really windy at the resort and even though we went in August the pool was still rather cold and took some time for the kids to adjust to and stay in for more than 15 mins.
If you want a relaxed, no hassle, 7 nights away you could do much worse! I didn’t find much to do in the local area (sightseeing etc.) the other towns were a 50 minute journey away from what we could work out.
Transfer from the airport was about 1.5 hours
