sorted byfor the GPU i would keep an eye on ebay/ebuyer codes got the 7800xt for £380 open box from them that way and the card is new,
for the PSU think there was a deal for 1200W gold NZXT that would be good enough for years and comes with 10 years warranty if not mistaken
any hynix IC ddr5 5600+ prefferably in 2x32gb config would sever for many years, you can easily tighten the timings and set to 6000mt/s that would be allowing the system perform at its peak or close to that
all other bits you may re-use your case depending on airflow or storage if no urgency to upgrade that.
Had a Tomahawk max for years and it's been great, but been looking into upgrading. (edited)
If you are interested, the price comparison adjusted for inflation (official u.k. gov. figures) is;
2017 U.K. price;
i7-7700K : £339.
March 2024 inflated price;
(i7-7700k): £436.31p.
We need intel as a check on A.M.D. getting greedy but they 'Suck'.
...."C'mon Intel, get back up!"
I would try get ddr5-6000 cl30
Maybe these bad boys for £20 more?
G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 amzn.eu/d/9MQWhHr
7800x3D apparently doesn't rely on the speeds too much so maybe you have picked a good one based on that!
But yeah other zen4 chips 6000 is the right speed the Ryzen needs but apparently the timings can help with the frame rate lows more FPS too
Again sorry if this advice isn't up to scratch, just learning about ddr5 as we speak currently rocking a old school build like yourself (edited)

that memory cache advantage has been a massive coup for team red, i legit didn't think it would wind up doing so well at the time.
Good news for whose is going to build a new PC.
Hot.
I can only imagine the Zen5 launch prices for performance comparable to the 7800X3D
Hot.
Anyone know of any simple guide to boost it to a stable status of 5000 ghz? Been using mine off standard settings so far.
