As somebody who has battled anxiety extensively over a number of years I would like to share some advice if you are looking to try and eliminate it from your life.
There are 2 books which have helped me immensely; The Power of Now (Eckhart Tolle) and Essential Help for your Nerves (Claire Weekes).
These 2 books combined will give you an understanding of what is happening in your body and the cycle you get stuck in, as well as a fresh new approach to life by living in the present moment and not stuck in the future.
The NHS and other forms of counselling are a good "start" but they never did much for me, the 'fix' comes from within yourself, with time and understanding you will eventually beat it.
Mindfulness is useful, 10 minutes a day with a guided meditation can help, it will show you that you can be still and quiet and just let the moment be what it is for a while.
Happy to help anybody if they wish to message, otherwise good luck on your journey. This book might be useful but I am just giving methods that have worked for me personally.
