Don't forget to take into account the cost of return flights plus my drinks bill would be horrendous

I always sneak drink onboard if I haven’t got a drinks package . £10 for a wine . £9 for a single vodka and coke lol

Done this a few years back. Great ship. The NY to Southampton route is a better trip due to time difference. This is good value and do a stay over in NY makes it great holiday.

You will need an Esta as well

The last time I cruised to the US a few years ago they couldn't use the ESTA I had and had to fill in the standard green form for entry.

For anyone you gets real hassle entering the US just go on a one way cruise like this and you will get in with absolutely no hassle whatsoever and can have your normal 3 months stay as well.

Cheaper than travelling from Edinburgh to Plymouth and back by train and quicker

Just to add that I travelled this week from Durham to Sheffield. First class advance cost me £180 for the return fare. Train was cancelled too on the way down.

Next week it's costing me £100 from Durham to Berwick upon Tweed both ways first class.

These are supposed to be the cheap discounted fares too!!!!

That puts this boat trip price into context (edited)

Cold. There's no passenger access to the bow so you can't do the king of the world thing.

Probably doesn’t even do the iceberg right ahead experience either. COLD

At this time of year, do you think it will be warm enough to sit out on deck?
