    Avoid.

You can only use Campingaz bottles with this set which are hugely overpriced, especially in the last year. Possibly you could replace the regulator or something but why bother when there are other sets on the market that let you use any brand.

I have just returned a Campingaz stove that was actually setting fire to its own finish around the burner, after the burners warped from their own heat. I found other Amazon customers had the same issues - got a full refund, will never buy this brand again.

You can use any gas bottle as long as you have the correct regulator, just connect the hose onto the metal pipe connector on the left. It's a universal connector not a proprietary one as you just need to slip a pipe over the connection and fasten it in

More BS from Amazon on the "standard" price - it's usually around £45 - Go Outdoors currently have it at £39 atm too. Stove bit is fine, grill is a bit rubbish. I've got a £6 folding camping "toaster" that does pretty much the same job.

Gas pipe and regulator are about £20 - £30 extra and as others said 904 / 907 bottles can be expensive and sometimes hard to find. As an example, when they have them, Go Outdoors charge £35 for a full 907 bottle but you have to return an empty at the same time. You can buy an empty for anything between £25 and £45 "new" or can often pick up empties locally on eBay for £10 or less. You might just come across some empties at your local recycling centre like I did.....

Personally I'd get a couple of the single burner "bistro" models that use the cheaper cartridge type gas canisters.

I've got a single burner 'Bisto' style, problem is that the bottle really doesn't last long - and useless in cold weather as Butane rather than Propane. Used three bottles on a 1 day night stay to heat water, cook dinner, and tea/coffee for 2 adults and 2 children.

Have been happy cooking on CampingGaz Chef in the summer - and meets my needs (apart from the toaster, better off toasting in a clean saucepan with lid on) - so guess depends what the requirements are. Got myself a 5kg propane bottle as this works out better for me. (edited)

No gas connected on the images? Need to include cost of gas cylinder and regulators.

Are you saying if someone posts a deal on a car they are supposed to include the cost of a full tank of petrol, the tax and MOT? (edited)

If you are serious about cooking outdoors, dunno if they are still about, check out the Coleman's petrol one.bit pricey to buy, at I think £80 ish, takes a bit of getting the knackered, but after those hurdles you barely notice the running cost. Had one for years and you get a beefy flame and if you need toast that badly, have the bread above the flame.

I've got one of the big Coleman twin burner dual fuel stoves, and a smaller Coleman single burner dual fuel stove, both bought used for under a tenner each from car boot sales about ten years ago. Great stoves - initially I run them on Aspen 4 and latterly on Tesco super unleaded and they work great on both. They do take more maintenance and fettling than a gas stove, and on my larger one the generator now could do with replacing, but they are great tough stoves with very low running costs and all parts that may wear are repairable/replaceable. Also good in the cold, I remember one chilly Easter camping trip my friend struggling to get his butane bistro stove to work due to the cold, but no issues for the Coleman.

Good price. The toaster bit is terrible and a waste of gas.

That's a great setup. Never seen one with a grill also.

Loads with grills. I have one like this, about 30+ year old. Still works fine (edited)

Burners are good, grill not so much. Takes a very long time for two very small bits of bread....

it appears that R904 or R907 bottles are much more expensive so smaller canisters work out cheaper with single stoves.

I just use a refillable bottle. Cost £7 to fill, at the local Morrisons. Lasts a long time. Bottle is pricey though, but pays for itself if you use it a lot (edited)

Not sure if it's still the case... but when I tried to buy a gas cannister last year, I wasn't allowed.
They weren't selling to new people, only doing refills of existing cannisters.

Could be different here as it's CampingGaz rather than Calor, but worth checking first.

You can buy a cylinder from facebook marketplace, ebay etc for a tenner and exchange it, saving the deposit you'd pay otherwise. You can pick your brand too... stick with expensive Camping Gaz, or get a new regulator and go Calor/Flo Gas (butane or propane, this stove will work fine with either)

I moved from camping Gaz to Flo gas. It's saved me a fortune, just needs a different regular
Love the cooker though had one for years. (edited)
