The links on this chain are really thin, such that I suspect they'd be highly susceptible to cutting by most bolt cutters. I think investing in a couple of decent Solid Secure Bicycle Gold Approved D-Lock's like this one from Burg Wachter or better would be a better purchase for protecting your bike from theft.

Not sure I'd even trust this to secure a BBQ

Voting cold for low quality. Nobody should secure a bike with this.

Lock can be broken in 30 seconds because of that head of the lock (edited)

Not even sure I trust that 'scissor proof' claim

I wouldn't trust this on a free bike. Not saying the best, but I'll always buy sold secure gold

    Lock with Kryptonite.

Use any other brand of lock, it'll be Krypto e.

Buy cheap security, be prepared to save up for another bike (and a better lock). (edited)

Never come across litelok? Or hip lock? I'd rather those than kryptonite tbh. Kryptonite is all marketing

Most decent bikes will cost several thousands nowadays.
Just don't leave it out of sight when outside and take it in the house when not riding it, or at the very least a secure garage.

    Sheds won't do.

This lock is a waste of time and money.
    Voted cold.

Wouldn't trust a bike chain made by a company that makes taps etc

I saw a clip yesterday of a scumbag cutting the bike stand with what appeared to be a pipe cutter and just slide the bike off, he didn't even touch the bike lock.

Freezing cold. Don't buy these cheap locks - for not much more than £20 you can get something far better and far more secure.

Recently had a few bike thefts from right outside our office where there are plenty of people about, CCTV and security. Couple of lads cycled in to the car park on bikes, one had some kind of long handled bolt cutter / pipe cutter up his coat and went through a lock similar to this in 20 seconds and were off just as people noticed and went to confront them.

No lock will stop a determined thief, but something more secure takes longer to break and therefore means they leave your bike and go for an easier one.
