To make these last longer, seal any small holes/gaps with Glue, especially the rear where it hooks onto 2 Screws. Cheaper ones have a hugh gap.

Change the Green 300mAh AA Battery to a 2,000mAh AA Battery.
Charge Batteries with a Charger before use and charge regulary.

Six of my lights were full of different types of Insects, big ones as well, a little Eco System. They get through the smallest of gaps and grow bigger. I emptied a disassembled light into the Sink, it was like the X-Files, some went up the Wall (Violin effect)

A lot of Green Mould build up because they are not IP67 unless sealed.

They will last forever if made Waterproof and maintained.

When de-commisioning a Solar Light, remove the PCB, it has a 4 pin Device that switches the Battery between charge and power.

Fair deal even with the P&P but £7.99 shipping is such a mental barrier, I could post it for less than that

Not if you ask them to revert back to the £10 minimum spend (they kept that quiet).

Save your money, great idea, and works well when it's working, but you'll be lucky to get a Year out of it, I replaced the solar light on mine last August and that's knackered now too, so in total 2 down in about 16 months

So glad it's personalised, otherwise you're stuffed if you didn't live at 52 Oxford Road or 83 Moseley Lane.

Is this like most solar lights where it only works during summer when you don't really need it?
Ive got a variety of garden lights that may as well go in the bin oct-may

They don't seem to list the panel, battery or light spec so yes, very likely these are useless for anything more than a dull flicker on a sunny day.

Had a similar one, didn't survive the first winter. Solar and light stopped working

I want to DIY a solar powered fan to help with ventilation on extremely hot days, but I'm not sure where to start. Can any of you wonderful HUKDers point me in the right direction?
