Is “DLED” a typo or is there another screen tech I haven’t caught up on OLED, QLED, QNED, I can’t keep up anymore-ED

It's a Vestel thing. They market their standard backlit LED models as "DLED" and their edge lit models as "ELED".

I got the previous model 50UL2B63DB on 'special offer' .. its 'ok' but wouldn't buy Toshiba again. Too many niggly issues for me, not least the TERRIBLE TV guide , and the weird and complicated settings menus.

Yep. I sorted it eventually but the ARC connection settings were a nightmare to figure out. You're right though you can't operate the TV settings if connected to an external hdmi input like a Roku stick or xbox.

Warranty makes it a very good buy for someone on a tight budget.

Good to have a warranty. My previous Toshiba failed after 14 months & no warranty. It was fine when working - no complaints.

Exactly the same. Good TV for the price at the time (noticeably better than the similarly priced JVC we have) but just shy of 2 years the LED driver packed in. If I was in the market, the 5 year warranty would seal the deal for me.

How does the 5 year warranty compare to richer sounds? Does it decrease over time like theirs?

The OS in my JVC 65" is a semi nightmare. But at lesst as a cheap TV with 1 year warranty it is actually proving reliable. (edited)

I am actually surprised that Toshiba is still in business

Don't they just license the brand name out to Vestel who make TVs and badge them as Toshiba ?

I own the 65 inch version of this. I got it for £350 with 5 year guarantee from John Lewis on Black Friday. For the money it’s excellent especially with 5 year guarantee.

I've had my Toshiba 3D tv for over ten years and no problem, before that another Toshiba TV no problem except the free view stopped working but after 12 years and a cost of £199 for a 49" TV not bad. TV remote easiest to work. 4k, 8k where are the TV channels for these.

Unfortunately these are not the Toshiba of old. They are made by Vestal who manufacture most of the budget TVs you see on the market under different brands.

Doesn't mean it's a bad TV for the money though.

Probably a great TV, it just makes me sad to see a great show like The Peripheral advertised, when it got cancelled.

Something something, writers strike. Still worth your time though!
