Have this for coffee beans and espresso dosing. It's actually pretty reliable for the money (had it 1+ years used daily) and I've been through a few scales and refuse to pay £80 for a designated coffee bean scale.

Only thing to note if you are obsessive about the weights, this thing is very sensitive to placement, just 1 or 2 cm front or back from the previous placement will read differently. So quick fix is to draw permanent marker around your dosing cup onto the weigh plate so it always goes back in the same place (if you weigh the ground output for retention). (edited)

Gosh 0.01g. I wonder what 'food' that would be weighing?

You’d want one that weighs more than 500g. Go for one that weighs up to 2kg or 5kg.

Why? What if they only want it for weighing seeds and nuts or coffee beans say?

A pocket scale with an accuracy of .01, wonder why, oh I know, to dose coffee when you go to Costa, for that extra kick. Heated. (edited)
