About this deal

Unique design watch, RRP £399, lowest price I've seen it going.
The Citizen Promaster Marine Divers BN0227-09L is the ideal choice for both divers and casual wear. The watch impresses not only with its unusual "diver" design, but also with features such as the Eco-Drive, which provides power using energy from light. This eliminates the need to replace the battery. A great advantage is the case material Super Titanium™, a special titanium developed by Citizen. This model is a reincarnation of the original Citizen sinkers from 1982.

The Citizen BN0227-09L has a case made of Super Titanium™ with PVD treatment, which ensures light weight and complete anti-allergy, and it stays on the hand thanks to the rubber strap. Inside the case is the in-house Citizen E168 movement, which features a light rechargeable battery with a power reserve of up to 6 months, as well as a low battery indicator function. A handy feature is then the date display at the 3 o'clock position. The clear dial of this model is protected by a mineral glass.

The water resistance of the Citizen Promaster Marine Divers BN0227-09L is 200 m, making it suitable for use in water, including swimming or diving. The water resistance is supported by a screw-down crown. This model even meets the ISO 6425 diving standard, which can be clearly read from the "Divers" inscription on the dial. This means, for example, declared resistance to magnetic fields, testing at 125% of the claimed water resistance value, or the need for a unidirectional rotating diving lunette. Improved legibility in low light conditions is provided by luminescence applied to the indices and hands.

Hmmmm.... Could this be THE most hideous looking watch ever made?

Not even close. The Invicta redneck specials manufactured and sold in malls in the USA beat this watch hands down.

Yup hit with the ugly stick to my eyes, but taste is subjective and am sure somebody loves it.

Crikey…there’s no accounting for taste that’s for sure. I like my Citizen watches but this is definitely off my wish list.

it and all the other colour ways was below £150 a year ago. best version is the more traditional black colour way IMO. despite opinion here it wears great and is very comfortable and not top heavy because of the titanium case. A great grab and go tool watch.

Some might say "it's a great grab and go tool watch"..... I reckon you might have to be a bit of a tool to wear it Seriously, is this a genuine Citizen watch? It looks like someone has photoshopped the dial of a decent watch onto a bit of lego.

It's based on the 1300m pro diver from 1982:-

It's actually an attractive watch in terms of the crown and the dial but it's like it's being enveloped in some alien blob
