Scan is literally Corsairs returns partner in the UK, so they'll be officially refurbished.

That said I used scimitar mice for a few years and don't rate their build quality. Had the mouse wheel fail every 6 months or so.

I had the same issue, but it's been fine since I repaired it myself years ago. You can get a bunch of encoders on aliexpress for a few quid. IIRC 9mm TTC green is the original part but there's other 9mm encoders. I had a faulty switch too, so I replaced those at the same time (<£1). I think I used Kaihl GM4.0, but those aren't original.

I've owned 4 different MMO mice (Razer, Corsair, Logitech) over the last decade and IMO they all had horrible build quality. For me, theways in which the scimitar fails has been much easier to repair than the others. For example, the side buttons wore out on 3 separate G600 after only a few months.

Obviously you shouldn't have to repair it, they should have better build quality, but it's nice to know you can fix it yourself in <30 mins rather than have to hassle with an RMA.

Cheers OP. Had my eye on one of these from Amazon Warehouse @ £35.99. This is probably a better buy.
