97% pork means that in the oldest of traditions “Everything except the squeal” is included (edited)

Not in this case which is why I included this in the description. These are far superior to any of the supermarket own brand offerings.

Turkey sausages are where it's at. Taste as good, much healthier. 😃

Gobbling them down as I type

The sodium sulphite is something to be careful of. Often used in the cheaper, and store brand, meat products. Those allergic can get swelling and problems similar to gout.
We were fortunately able to narrow down a friend's diet after being hospitalised twice.

May I please take this opportunity to recommend Lidl's bratwurst (the white-ish ones) sausages. Beautiful with some Haendlmaier Sweet Bavarian Mustard.

Are these fresh or frozen? Or in glass jars? I regularly get my fresh sausages from Lidl and I think they’re pretty good especially at £2.49 for six!? I’m wondering how the bratwurst’s compare so I’ll grab some next time I’m there!

I bought some reduced at Waitrose and they are quite ok.
They keep their shape well and are great for sausage sandwiches.

Far better than the budget options that aren't that much cheaper when on offer.

(However, I still like cheap Cheap sausages at times due to the wonderfully unhealthy taste of fat and ground up body parts - I genuinely really like them in a similar way I like black pudding). (edited)

    ^^^THIS!

The Premier Inn breakfast ones have the fine balance between pork and 'other'

used these for years - then they shrank the pack size down from 454g to 400g and then made them shrink in size as the water in them evaporates from being cooked.......great now as cocktail sausages. COLD.

Piffle. Had some last night. Minimal shrinkage during cooking.
