A decent torch at a good price so HOT, but this comment ion their description is laughable and could not be less accurate

" Easily lasts for an entire camping trip using 3 standard AA’s or rechargeable battery. We recommend using rechargeable battery, which will allow the torch to reach maximum brightness.(Batteries not included)"

Rechargeable will not allow as high power as Alkaline batteries, will last nothing life as long & are not really suitable for high drain use such as in a torch

It's not referring to rechargeable AA batteries, it's the 18650 rechargeable battery they mean and it does indeed last longer and is brighter.
    Poor wording by them really.

Do you know if it comes with batteries?

Easy enough to do the sums. A 3000 lumen LED needs around 50W and an AA holds roughly 4W Hr tops. So three will give 12 WHr. So, on full output, it will run for around 10 minutes or less. One of the reviews states that it can be operated at lower power levels - but there could be times when a really bright light could be useful. I could have used one this morning, going from bright sunshine into an old ex railway tunnel: it took a while before my eyes could adjust and see very much by torch light (one of the "inferior" torch types that this ad mentions).

It's about 6" long but chunkier than my 3xAAA one.

I generally just use alkalines as its often easier to get those than find somewhere to charge a rechargeable. Plus, as this one has no built-in charging circuit - I would need both a rechargeable cell and a charger for it. So I would welcome suggestions of a rechargeable equivalent to this one. If you think that it's worth going for that as an alternative to buying alkalines, as needed..

Doubt these are waterproof , I’ve got or had a few of these AliExpress type torches and first bit of rain it’s in like a shot and the lens fogs up. I generally buy a mixed box of o-rings and try to make these water resistant but never really works 100%

It's tiny. No where near the pictures size

I have about 20 torches and never really need to use one. One of them has a big ass fan and takes 8x21700 batteries and I needed it bad but haven't used it. I spent like 100 sheets on batteries, turned it on, showed my unimpressed girlfriend and its been in the cupboard since covid. What's with the torch fetish thing?

    I purchased this too 🫡

    this one any good?

bought the x4 very expensive ledlenser and it stopped working due to poor build quality, whilst sitting in the cupboard. Something inside stopped working.

No I wouldn't recommend it. A good torch is the sofirn sc31 but I would recommend the astrolux ec01. Brighter than this and way smaller. Much longer battery life too. Watch videos on YouTube

I have had a couple of these both rechargeable and disposable batteries. The rechargeable one lasted about a month and they let me keep it if I changed my review. Now I use three AA batteries in it and it's sad seeing it drain so quickly.
At first the brightness was stunning and lit up a massive area or focus the beam for long distance. Sadly that also has worn off.
If you search on Amazon led torches you will see different brands/ sellers with the same stock photos.

Will add though at this price I would consider it and use my rechargeable batteries.

How quickly do the AA batteries drain?

Imagine the raw power needed to light up a whole room. So much better than these torches that stop when the beam gets to the middle

That’s with the lens extended, in my average
sized hand. Good torch, well worth £8.99.

If this is the torch that vampire hunters recommend, that's good enough for me.
