About this deal

Comes at no extra cost, for Sky sports customers. So if you've got Sky Sports anyway, or even thinking of signing up soon, then pretty decent!

Sky Sports+ will give more choice to sports fans via live streams and a new dedicated channel, at no extra cost.

Launching this August, Sky Sports+ will be transformational in the amount of choice sports fans will have access to via live streams on Sky TV, streaming service NOW and the improved Sky Sports App on mobile.

With more coverage than ever before from the EFL, both tennis Tours and men's Super League, Sky Sports customers can enjoy more than 50% more live sport this year.

Sky Sports+ will make it easier for fans to browse, discover and watch the sport they love, while the dedicated Sky Sports+ linear channel will showcase a selection of the best live sport.

Highlights include:

  • Four times as many matches from the EFL with all 72 teams featured more than 20 times per season.
  • Every match from the men's Super League.
  • Coverage from the ATP & WTA Tours and US Open Tennis.
  • PGA Tour golf and more.
  • Exclusive access to Sky's great sports documentaries.
  • Sky Sports+ offers the capability to show up to 100 events concurrently.
  • Customers can enjoy over 50% more live sport this year.
  • All of this comes at no extra cost.

It's not just greater choice that subscribers can look forward to; Sky Sports+ will give exclusive access to Sky's great sports documentaries, such as the much-anticipated Darts documentary, two weeks before anyone else.

With new and enhanced features, the viewing experience will be more immersive for fans, giving greater optionality on how they watch their favourite sport. Live pause and rewind will be available on all concurrent streams, and the 'Recap' feature currently available for Premier League and Championship games will also be made available for EFL games shown on the Sky Sports+ linear channel.

Once live, customers with a full Sky Sports subscription won't need to do a thing; Sky Sports+ will simply drop into the existing Sky experience, across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, Sky Q, and NOW.

The revamped Sky Sports App will also become the ultimate home of sports streaming on mobile devices with Sky Sports+ streams accessible via event centres in the app.

I’m not interested in every game in the lower leagues, if it was every EPL game then this would be more of a deal. Cancelled my contract as rip off, the fact you can’t get sports without the tv package and then again you can’t get UHD without HD. They are massive snakes.
    Willy_Wonka's avatar
So you cancelled Sky because it was a rip off & you want all Premier League games on Sky to consider it value for money enough to return.

Well, I can only imagine the cost of Sky if it had all Premier League games with no competition.

At least 20 live games per season for each EFL team is great. Here's hoping it's all the Posh away games for me and also here's hoping for a win against Oxford tonight. UTP!

wow, this is great. Championship, League One and Two are great leagues, and it will be great to catch all of the games. I was only thinking about this again the other day about wishing these leagues were shown more on TV. It's so good. Thanks

Where is the package on the website for just £20 a month? I can only see it with addons for 1 month at £20 then £46 a month after that for 18 months

    No extra cost to customers?

They just put the prices up in April
    Willy_Wonka's avatar
Yep. It will go up RPI + 3.7% in April.

    Which equals zero.

    Does that include formula 1

The only bad thing with F1 is that there is limited options for replay when you want to watch it, if you don’t/can’t record it when it is shown live.  Not sure of situation on Sky Glass but this is issues I have had previously with Now/Sky GO.

Looks great and I can see the benefits of more live coverage of international events or events witch high demand and limited capacity, but surly with half of EFL games per team being broadcast, won’t that affect attendance and revenue for smaller clubs?
    Dona3853's avatar
I guess that will have been calculated by the EFL when negotiating this latest rights package. Imagine there will be winners and losers across the 3 leagues with this approach. Some could be financially better off but with lower attendances which is sad. Won't be long before it will be like watching football in lockdown with no atmosphere in the grounds.

It omitted a price, which I commented on.

£20 sounds like Now TV, it being the only real budget option.
  14. beaversrus's avatar
So how much is a full package to Sky per month now?
  15. futura's avatar
I'm confused, title says ALL EPL games will be shown but in text it says at least 20 games a season per club?
    Willy_Wonka's avatar
No 3pm games. They are not allowed to be screened in the UK. (edited)
  16. Ben10's avatar
Also to note no championship games can be show on tv from 3pm till 5pm

So any games picked for this will be early or late kick offs this will affect people that go to games and may also cross over with live prem games on tv! So you may start missing them if you support a championship club
  17. tatmandu73's avatar
And the fans who go to the games can kiss goodbye to Saturday 3pm kick offs.
    Willy_Wonka's avatar
Totally lost. What do you mean?
