I can't help feeling that banks are just making all the spoof emails about winning cash prizes and entering all your bank details all the more believable by running things like this

because this is better marketing than offering a better bank account, and it's cheaper than upping the interest rate, even by 0.1%.

Anyone got any idea how you get the £2 for changing to online statements? I signed up for the £5 green thing about 3 weeks ago, still no £5. It says it might take 21 days - will give them this week before chasing. I've got several accounts with HSBC (sadly!) and found details of the £2 offer on the site, but no way of activating it from my internet banking? Any success anywhere else?

After login to you HSBC account...go to My details---->Statement delivery---> View/Ammend----> thn change it to online.....

donno whether you get 2£ or not.........cheers

Also PS terms& conditions: If you are taking up the "£5 cashback when you go green" you will not be eligible for the £2 cashback on that same account.

just to let people know if u jave a green account it means you have no check book, and if you loss your card u have no way of withdrawing money!

also you cant take out more then £300 a day normaly as you cant use the cashiers only the ATM's.

Had a big argument in a branch on friday about this

The secure eMessage is the internal messaging system within the HSBC website. When you first log in, and look on the left column, theres a 'messages' section, which is the secure eMessage, which is a great idea! I hate all the spam and phising emails coming through from banks, its been on the rise recently!

Isn't it the same as the standard bank account but with no paper bills?
