Cold deal.

Been this price for an age. Its truely a useless phone, but if you need a spare I guess its just about barable. But its been available at this price for ages, and on better networks.

£17.99? Typical Argos really. Doubt they sold many at that price.

why is it a useless phone? i trust you dont just mean becuase of the (lack of) features? for some people that is no problem (or even a bonus), and i would have thought the battery life would be quite tasty!!!

i would sense that vibeone engages his/her fingers before the mind, and doesn't know much about mobiles in general. Price for it only recently went down at argos, trust me i know.

Its a terrible phone because of the lack of features (which I admit it good for some), but also the screen is terrible, especially in bright light conditions. It also looks cheap and tacky.

All this is pretty irrelevent to the deal rating though - its been a tenner pretty much since it was released.

I'm a mobile and tech reviewer for a popular website. You may disagree, but I claim that means I do know what I'm talking about. For pricing a deal, I also use more site than just Argos. This phone has been £10 since release, or at least just after.

Suggest you engage your brain before posting deals in future, as its clearly you who doesn't know about mobiles, pricing, or deals.

Trust me. *I* know.

God I pity some of the arrogant arses on here. As soon as anyone points out any kind of problem with a deal, they get so upset and whinge on and on. Its a deal. A cold one. Get over it and move on.

Now now, no need to spit your dummy out vibeone, nobody in there right mind would employ a buffoon like u, who expects a top notch phone under a tenner. Is it your own website your a tech reviewer for...

Description starts of saying...not many features, its a basic phone. If you can't understand that, then you shouldn't be in this section, get over it.

Ok, starty pants, put a link up on here for the same phone, cheaper for a website other than Argos.

Man, comes on here with a 1000+ posts, and not a shred of common sense, some people eh.

Same here
vibeone says ' Its truely a useless phone'
well vibeone, I've found a use for mine, I make phone calls with it!
Some people don't seem to realise that not everyone wants a load of features that they will never use.

Good price for a basic phone.

I have features on my phone that I never use, nor want to use. I have better things to do than fiddle about with mobile phones.

Will get this for my Mum. She hates the phone she has - it is too complicated as there are just way too many features.
It is a huge market - not everyone wants a phone that sings and dances, some (most) people just want a phone that will do what it should do - ie makes phone calls and a few texts.
Voted hot.

I laughed out loud at that after reading your posts.

I would also suggest you don't know your market that well. Some people just want a phone! nokia do know this and thus provide a phone that calls people and texts people. Seriously, that is all I do with my sony walkman phone - I get blinded by all the gee-whizz of phones thinking how many different girls I'd get and how much more my life will be fulfilled because I spent 5 times more on a phone than I needed - it hasn't happened yet apart from the first few days of having a new phone.

And I'm probably in your target market for reviews - 28 middle class white male.

As I keep saying - I'm under the impression that hukd is for hot deals and not to vote something cold because you don't like the product. If you know a as cheap basic phone then please post that - and considering "you know" then you should share in the true spirit of it all.

For £9.99 I think you would be hard pushed to get another "good" spare phone at this price. Anyone who has the first generation Nokia N95 like myself and my gf will know that they need charged everyday, unless you unlock and upgrade the firmware. I was recently "caught out" while away for the weekend with both our phones out of charge and I had to stop and go in to a pub and ask to use their phone to call our host,so for £9.99 I would say it really is handy. Maybe the "phone expert" can find us another phone with the same stand by,talk time features for less..?

Good deal, ever lasting battery is a big plus. Can these be unlocked though?
