I am sorry I should have been more clear, what I'm trying to say is in my opinion there is no point going for the A300 hence why Sony have stopped selling it as there isn't a massive improvement from the A200 paying extra £100 pounds for useless features. If live view was a significant feature someone was looking for they wouldn't choose the A200 but rather buy an A350 because there is a significant increase in quality & features between the A200 and the A350.
Like I said Jessops had the A200 with the extra Tamron 55-300mm lens for £325 delivered/collect instore £104 cheaper than this deal. Question is if an extra £104 for live view and a tilting screen worth it?
Sorry to drag up an old thread, but this is rubbish. Some reviews actually say the A300 is better than the A350. Noise levels are worse on the A350, and many reviewers question the extra money between the A300 and A350. They say trying to squeeze more pixels into the A350 was a bad move by Sony.
Also, the A300 is merely exclusive to Jessops, it is not being withdrawn by Sony. This camera has now dropped further in price. £349 with one lens in store I think. Just checked. It is £349.99 online as well. £100 cheaper than the A350. Only £50 more than the A200.
I have one, and I love it. Fantastic pictures. The live view is very useful as well. Great for awkward shots. Out of the A200, A300 and A350, there is only one that I would choose, and that I think some if not many reviewers would choose too, and that is the A300. Best value for money out of the lot of them.
