To backup what Copthis 1 said above; be prepared for some nasty diarrhea. Some simple precautions :
1/. Avoid drinking all tap water - this includes ice in all your soft drinks/cocktails
2/. Avoid salad items even onboard ship (firstly because the salads are washed using local water before coming on th ship and secondly the reason they are washed is that many local farmers use human excrement as fertiliser)
3/. Check the seals of all water bottles before you buy them - many stores refill discarded water bottles with tap water.

I am NOT saying this travel/cruise firm do any of the above, and does not diminish a hot deal. I am just giving some information on common practices in these parts of the world if you've never been before which is a large cause of diarrhea.

Hot deal.

Wow, I don't think I could handle the heat of Egypt in July!!! Good deal tho!

Getting the runs when abroad is sometimes just due to the body being shocked by the change from UK temperatures to sitting out baking like a lizard in union jack swimming trunks all day in 35 degrees fulll sun! Drink plenty of water.

I have travelled to various places around the world (Maldives, Mauritius, Caribbean, etc) and have never had the squits like when I went to Egpyt.
Follow the advice above and be prepared for at least a minor dose of the trotskies
Still a cracking deal though.

Have been to Egypt twice, and provided you are sensible and don't drink the water you will have no problems. Of course the weather is fantastic and the scenery down the Nile is breathtaking.

The people are the friendliest I have ever encountered. We spent a few minutes talking to a shop keeper on our first visit, when we went back two years later he remembered us and invited us to his wedding!

i went last year. made sure i drank only sealed bottles and used hand sanitizer before and after food, also drink beer with your food to help kill any bugs (or at least stops you thinking about them). We were both fine because we were careful, if you drink the local water be sure your bum will fall out.

Did this trip last year (on a different boat but looked very similar to these two) and it was fantastic! The trips are brilliant although its an early start each morning ranging from 5am to 7am but then its much cooler as you don't want to be walking round during the hottest part of the day. Then in the afternoons you are free to make the most of the free booze! If these are all inclusive didn't check that? If they aren't then it may be worth trying to go that way if you can, otherwise your stuck with having to pay what ever they want to charge for drinks etc as you can't exactly pop somewhere else when your in the middle of the Nile

This would be a great trip to take my kids on who are both currently doing Ancient Egypt in their Primary school. They'd probably learn an awful lot more and taking them out of school would be justified for this visit.

This missus cant get the time off though - so unless I took them on my own.... hmmmmm. cogs are turning now....Didn't see anything about a triple berth though - only twins. Anyone know?

LOL... All Inclusive....'fraid not..not for this sort of price.....But everything else is included....

The drinks are fairly expensive, But there's ample opportunity to pop into one of the local shops in Luxor or Aswan to purchase lots of cheap drinks...... You have a fridge in your cabin.
Also take your duty free with you......
