EXPIRED - Book a Hotelformule1 room ( Very basic french hotels) & get Breakfast for 78p per person = 1 euro promo offer

£0.78

189°

FOUND BY: hotscot 2 months, 5 days ago

STARTS: 13/07/2008   EXPIRES: 31/08/2008

Have tested this out @ Hotel Formule 1 Gennevilliers ,Asnieres room for 3 @ £28.29 per night/per room and 78p per person breakfast. = £30.63 per night for 3 = £10.21 per head for 3.

Due to reviews, maybe better suited to youngsters/students/groups not ideal families.

This offer is for a breakfast, I think it's normally 4 euros. look for the yellow promo button @ hotel name, after choosing dates.

Rooms seem to be basic but clean, they seem to have sinks, but shared bathrooms, not bad reviews on Tripadvisor too.

Excuse the translation as used Babelfish

Offer valid exclusively on Internet site www.hotelformule1.com and www.accorhotels.com, for any reservation d' a stay to be carried out between the 13/07/08 and 31/08/08, in the participating hotels in France, according to a number of allocated rooms with l' operation and subject to availabilities. thanks for the deal but you must be joking if this company even compares to travelodge.

travelodge is 5 stars compared to this company

from experience:
the toilets are located in the corridors, so every time you need a wee wee you have to hurry along out the room and hope no one else is waiting to use the toilets. the toilets themself stink and are very small and all plastic.

there is no hotel receptionsit you can complain to: you enter the hotle by inserting your credit card in the machine which issues you a room number. so you can not change the room.

the rooms are pretty stinky

just do a review of this hotel comapny before you book:

but thanks for the deal anyway

I have stayed in two of these and must have been very lucky.
Mind you it was 10 years ago.
Rooms were excellent and we had en-suite.
Seems like a good deal to me,,,,,, unless they haven't been cleaned for 10 years.

I have stayed in these and they are a bit basic, better to stay in their more expensive (only by a few pounds ) Etap hotels. Owned by the same company but more like a travelodge, with ensuite bathrooms and the cheap breakfasts.

I love these hotels, I've always found them to be clean, even if they are basic. They're perfect for a trip to paris - you wouldn't even get a youth hostel that cheap there!

Agreed! We stopped in one last year - worse place I have stopped in by far - breakfast for 78p - wouldn't want to pay much more for it anyway from what we had. Guess you must get some good and some bad ones though.

well obvioulsy you can't compare a £30/night for 3 with £75 for a double, you must find some differences...
True there is no toilettes in the room (only sink & mirror for quick refresh). Make no mistake it's a low cost hotel though perfect for a 1 night stand or along with friends.
I wouldn't recommand this for a family holiday though...

I must agree very basic, I only use them if desparate, not very ideal if on your own and need a P in the night, having to remember the code number to get back into your room, also very noisy they seem to have a gap of about an inch to the bottom of the room doors, so you can hear all the TV's and people taking in all th close rooms, ideal for perhaps under 20's people. Do not use them at the weekend ( often 2 nights for the priceof 1) they seem to be used by young couples looking for a room for a few hours, why I do not know
Much better to look for Premiere Classe which are en-suite and around the same price or B&B group hotels very similar and around 35 Euros a night for up to 3 people and normally secure car parks.

the only thing this hotel is good for is when you need somewhere for a quick one with the mistress it use to be about £19 a night, but the turn over was so high they use to have a maid on site 247

Me and my girlfriend are planning a trip to Paris in August (2nd - 8th)
(only time we can get off sadly!) On a bit of a budget, would I die or
catch anything if I stayed at this *cough* hotel??

Never been to France before, so Paris is a new adventure, looking
for cheap place to stay but would like to survive if possible!

Any other advice on offer my ears are open!

These hotels aren`t that bad at all. Use them a few times a year when travelling between the Czech Republic and UK. I can recommend the the ones in Boulogne, Calais and Dunkerque if you`re booked on an early ferry across the channel. They are all staffed 24/7 and have secure car parks. Never been in one i would class as dirty. Certainly not for holidays as they are almost always in an industrial park nowhere near anywhere of interest. If you have to have en-suite then i would also recommend paying a few extra pounds and stay in the Etap variant. As for the breakfast they offer, well, dont get excited. Had it once, didnt bother again. Tea, toast a yoghurt and cereal isnt the best.
