This bunk bed does not include mattresses. There is a very similar one on Argos with very basic mattresses for £129.99, so for the frame it is a very good price.
Tubular steel frame with ladder attached to right-hand side.

Think you accept that metal are noisy and wood arent but we needed the strength of metal, wooden ones wouldnt cope with my two boys!!
We had a metal one from bargain crazy a few years ago which our kids managed to break. A bit of bouncing bent the mattress supports (which eventually broke the main frame). At least with a wooden one you can repair them if they are a bit boisterous. I'd go for wood every time.
Good price but I wouldn't buy a metal bunk bed again. The one we had creaked so much that no-one got a good nights sleep. We got a wooden one from Ikea (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00102452) for £69 and the kids love it. No creaks and it feels very strong - it even takes my weight with no problems and I'm a big lad !

We had one of these from Bargain Crazy also, and far from being stronger than wood, the noise was awful, woke my son up repeatedly, but the hollow metal 'slats' were much less strong than wood. They kind of 'give' in the middle. We gave ours to the dump! And got a really decent, more pricey, wooden bed. You do get what you pay for.

Im thinking of getting that very bunk bed from Ikea for two teenagers and wondering if the person on the firts bunk would be able to sit up right without their head touching the matress supports.
