uploading of picture to my profile

Other than for your avatar, you have to upload any photos to something like photobucket, click the link under the photos, then you can include them in posts. It's easier than it sounds!

newbies can't post images until they've been given approval from a mod or admin - just PM a Mod and they'll be able to sort it for you...
(I had same issue and Admin sorted it for me in about 5 mins)
