I used my dads address (gosport) which has taxes paid to gosport etc and comes under Gosport yet PO isnt accepted...

Wow what a fantastic idea, very forward thinking of Southern Water... or the Portsmouth council... whoever is responsible! Although a water butt isnt itself terribly expensive, its enough money to put a pensioner or someone on a low income off, and of course its the installation that would be the really pricy part, if you can't do it yourself. The one illustrated also has a stand, and tap on it, nice!

Voted hot and I hope all the other regions follow suit!! My mum has two in her garden now, and never has to use water from the house for watering her garden.

(ps. Im in Glasgow, but it still a great freebie!!!)

I'm in North End - only renting so will have to check but I could use this for watering the garden. Wonder if it means you're entitled to any discount on drainage - I get mixed up with Southern / Portsmouth Water - I know one supplies and one deals with the waste.

I live in Manchester where the water butts are over flowing at the moment . There's only 15,000 of these to give away though so if you qualify for one or know anyone who would then best move your BUTT and get on with it. Voted hot.
