Tired all the time

Anything to keep me awake or could there be something wrong with me as have put on 4 stone in 2 months and had a lot of stomach cramps and I just assumed everything was down to bad sleeping pattern but in last 3 weeks alone have been sleeping like 10-14 hours a day and feeling exhausted. and sick.

I did start to force myself to go to bed like midnight to 1am each day and have 8-10 hours sleep but feel really tired all day long.

I dont take any caffeine so wondered if that would help.

But the huge increase in weight doubled with the fact im sleeping huge hours worries me.

My wrist and shoulder is painful a lot too where I broke it as a teenager and my joints always ache.

Any idea whats wrong?

4 stone in 2 months ? are you sure ? thats nearly a half a stone a week
I think you should see your Dr. ASAP ....... it will put your mind at rest

Yeah, at first I assumed it was just my diet as was eating junk food late at night but stopped and ate right but the weight continued to gain, then took sleeping tablets for a month that had a rep of weight gain.

Doctor here - lol not really, but what is your diet routine ? How many minutes do you exercise for, any changes at your work or home lately ?

are you female ???, cos sounds like me cept the weight gain when i was preggers last year first few months slept up to 14 hrs aday, but only put on 3 stone whole pregnancy

Eat on time, eat onion in lunch, have as much veggies as you can and try to adopt an exercise plan

very easy to put weight on, not so easy to lose it, you diet of fast food and late night eating has messed up your metabolism and will take awhile to get back and can only be done with sensible eating especially before bed, but to be on the safe side I would see a doctor - good luck

it could be your diet, do u also drink alot of fizzy drinks? are u just generally a lazy person lol
i read sumwhere if u sleep more than 10 hours a day for a period of two weeks u may have a sleep problem as adults really only need 6-8 hours

Yeah love exercise but far too exhausted to do much at minute.

Used to spend an hour or two in gym a day but stopped as I started feeling lethargic.

The only "good" thing about waking up early now is I dont feel hungry late at night, instead I want to go to bed.

I think its partly down to stress and depression as its been gradually getting worse over the last 4 years since the death in family but doc wont prescribe AD's without councelling first but have been waiting 3 months and no appointment yet!

As my weight gets bigger Im feeling more tired and tired probably a circle as im tired as im big but im big as im tried

Lol dont think it is, apart from if I drink alcohol which I have only done once in over 3 months due to tiredness.

If I do go for a number 2 its usually sloppy and such.

Sorry to hear all that...It sounds as if you are depressed. The weather will not be helping either,so probably have a touch of SAD as well. Ok,I am not a doctor but my advice would be -
* Drink more water. Yes we hear it all the time but it does help.
* Try to get some exercise a day. Force yourself if you have to. Outside preferred but even 20 minutes on eliptical trainer,running machine,fitness video will help.
* Eat more fruit and veg. the more RAW the better. If cooking,try to eat veg raw or slightly steamed.
* Buy a SAD lamp. It will help to lift the spirits.
* Sounds as if you have slowed down your metabolism. You will need to start eating smaller meals more often. Have breakfast. Again,if you don't eat it,force yourself,you will get in to it. Best bet,Porridge! But that's just cause I'm Scottish
* Don't start taking coffee,tea,other caffeine drinks,as they will give you a slight lift,but you will only feel worse when you come down again. Occasional cups of above is ok,but if you don't take now,don't start.
* Buy a juicer. You will get nothing better for you then freshly juiced produce,not shop bought,but shop bought is better than soft drinks,but only just! My favorite is freshly juiced carrots.
* Ok,supplements. A multi vit. cod liver oil, possibly vit c, vit B complex,all good. As an extra ginseng, might help too.
* Spirulina also good. Add a spoonful a day to that carrot juice that you are going to be having everyday now
* The pains is the weather and sounds like arthritis. Also nods to bad circulation. You really need to start walking or getting out on that old bike that you've got...
* Hardcore? Pick a day and drink only water and eat grapes. It will flush and clean out your system and get you ready for the new health you!

List everything you eat on an average day and ill tell you if its because your eating too much or not.
