EXPIRED - Free Delivery + £59 Off selected systems in Dell Outlet

414°

FOUND BY: cromo 3 months, 1 week ago

EXPIRES: 04/09/2008

This deal is similar to the recently posted £70 off Inspirion systems, but this time it's also available for Dimension,Inspiron and Vostro (Desktops and Notebooks ONLY).
Free delivery has also been mentioned before, but I think it's worth putting it here together again.

Instruction for £59 discount:
"To use this offer all you need to do is select your desired system, add it to your shopping cart, then tick the "SAVE £59" offer in the Software and Peripherals Section once you have added your system to the shopping cart."
(More here: http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/topics/promo.aspx/uk/en/money_off?c=uk&l=en&s=dfb&~lt=popup)

For free delivery you have to do nothing - it just works.
(More here: http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/topics/promo.aspx/uk/en/free_delivery?c=uk&l=en&s=dfb&~lt=popup)

Both offers (free deliver & discount) expire on 4th of Sept, so still some time left for shopping.

To prove how nice deals you can get, have a look what I got for my girlfriend for £262,70 incl. VAT:
Dell Vostro 1310
Intel Core 2 Duo T5670 (1.8GHz)
English Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 (32Bit OS)
3072MB (1x2048 & 1x1024) 667MHz DDR2
160GB HD (5400RPM)
LCD 13.3 WXGA
8X DVD+/-RW
Dell Wireless 1395 Mini-Card 802.11b/g EMEA
6-cell 58W/HR LI-ION Battery
Intel Integrated GMA X3100

I also recommend to check the Outlet for new systems in the morning and then again in the afternoon, between 4 and 5PM.

That’s a good price on the Vostro 1310 for the girlfriend; you’d better watch out she’ll want to marry you next.

There’s been some high spec XPS M1530 systems on the site for ~£620-630 delivered:

2.5GHz, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, 8600M GT 256MB, WiFi N, 6 cell battery.

It’s a shame about the problems with the nVIDIA GPUs but Dell have extended their warranties on systems with these GPUs which makes it less of a gamble.

They aren’t listed on the main page so you just choose another system type and when you get to the page that lists individual systems you can select Vostro from there.

Nice spec for the money although IMO the 1510 is an ugly thing and I don't think it's as well built as previous models I seem to recall!

There are some quite good online reviews for the 1510, most saying its a step up from the 1500 and the build was quite strong. . .

I'm very tempted, I'm typing on a Acer where the battery doesn't work at the mo, keeping it plugged in all the time is a pain and even when the battery did work I'd be lucky to get an hour of using Word out of it ! I'm guessing that I'd get 2 to 3 out of one of these with the 6 cell ????
