i think you'll find IKEA is 9p and 6p.. http://www.ikea.com/ms/en_GB/campaig...ilefamily.html

Does ASDA and IKEA and TESCO alike all use the same towers or do them roam using T-mobile towers of a combination... ??

Think you'll find they are "all over the place" virtual network provider wise as reportedly:
- Ikea is T-Mobile based (as has Virgin Mobile been for years and years of course).
- Asda on Vodafone
- Tesco on o2

Bring that competition on!

Its really Vodafone/o2 vs Tmobile/Orange due to the different frequencies they run on. In my experience, Vodafone/o2 has far better coverage in my area. Ive been on Orange, Tmobile and Vodafone.

The Ikea deal allowed you to choose your own number, Asda just send you a sim card.
The number can then be ported where you want.
Have to top up £10, but then get £10 added to your account for every referral

I just moved from O2 to IKEA (Family Mobile) - I like being able to manage my account online, and the auto top-up function if your credit goes below £3 is a nice feature. I PACked up my number (Porting Authorisation Code) instead of scrolling thru the thousands of numbers offered by IKEA... Tho some of the numbers were cool - Quite a few 28 28 20s which sounds a bit like an owl... What a hoot!!

Although I shop at ASDA, I'm always aware that they go out of their way to trip and confuse people... Your choice.

Still it is a good deal. Voted Hot

tesco value package is 5p per text, not sure about call rate, but similar to ikea

however if you register the phone to your clubcard you can get 300 clubcard points for topping up with £20 of credit.

i get this voucher printed out after my till receipt.

i guess this is only good value if you are a light user.

p.s. can't use it abroad

Surely IKEA should not be allowed to state on their home page:-

gone for the ikea one as I like the idea of auto top up and being able to choose your own number. Very light user so 1p difference wont bother me. They may well reduce it anyway now asda have tried to beat them
