Does this link help:
http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/edit...communications

This may explain it. I got the code from a mail sent by Dixons yesterday. This looks like quite a good multimedia meachine with Remote control and TV even?

Good points
It looks really stylish, it has so many features and a excellent spec for the price. Pefect for most people.
Bad points
The battery hardly lasts an hour but I rarely need to use it so its not a big deal for me. The mouse pad sometimes is realy slow or just doesn't work. I think it might just be me and the way i use it. Also the shift key is tiny.

Good points
Due to problems setting up wireless I have only just started to use the computer. However, I find the screen size good and touch pad off switch very useful.
Bad points
No recovery disc and no manual (the latter very frustrating)

Good points
Design and look
Bad points
The screen keep crashing and giving the message of "display ... failure, succesfully recovered" I tested using the TV in UK and then took it with me abroad. I couldnt watch any thing in Turkey and I am told that I have to do a master reset. What is the point of settings option for downloading the tv guide for different locations then? Microsoft office did not have a licence, I had to buy Norton did not have any licence but was put there to ask me for a licence key!!!

Good points
Its a great looking super fast wide screen with the much slicker and better Windows Vista operating system, its super easy to use and just brill, would recommend to anyone, although due to the size probably not so suitable for the more mobile user.
Bad points
only negatives are that the battery life could be a little longer, it generally only lasts about three hours before needing a charge. Also the machine is a little on the heavy side but thats ok when you take into account the size.

>> It is a refurb though.

neighbour got a similar refurb HP model (9702) a few months back. hard drive drive died within a week. actually corrupted the whole C partition after first boot, had to recover using D, then it went completely soon after.

functionally, it's just ok. The screen is *very* reflective (more so than other glossy/glass type screens), the mouse buttons are horribly big and weak seeming, and the right shift key is tiny (small square type, not the usual long one). that alone would put me off buying this myself, really, a decent shift key is a must when typing. go to PC World and try out a similar HP model to see what you think.
