How do you know that you can use it in diesel cars? Don't want to wreck someones car by pouring this in and it breaks down. Good price for the oil in general. Heat added :-) xx

It can be used in a lot of pre 2000 cars with no problems. Of course, check your particlular model before using. Most after 2000 won't run on veg oil

Your diesel car will run off cooking oil no problem. I think you're supposed to mix it up 50/50 or 75/25 with a some proper diesel to stop it clogging things up depending on the season though (don't quote me on that, that's just from what I think I remember). There are plenty of tutorials kicking around the net about brewing up homemade diesel for those interested.

Not sure on that one, i used it very successfully on older Merc's. Basically the problem comes if you have common rail injection, which i am not sure if your car is. Common rail injection cars won't run veg (at least not very long) but the old indirect injection (IDI) engines do. That's basically what you are looking for.

You can use it in new cars, however, you can not use it straight, it has to be processed into Biodiesel first, which is a bit complicated

run vrs cars on oil for many years ,i was buying it from the local co-op for 2.65 for 3 litres untill recently , id guess ive done say 40-50 thousand miles on oil over the years

for usage putting it simply mix it straight into the tank at upto 75% oil , you can however use petrol for the thinning agent instead of diesel , as for a solvent , this was a stinking pile of crapola from top gear a few years ago , take that with a pinch of salt , i will say oil is thick , as such in the winter if you mix it at high values its best of luck starting the car , i go to a maximum of 50% in a mild winter and less when its proper cold

karim786 , not gunna second guess if it will work with yours , i will say the 1.7 older vauxhall lumb in both izuzu and vauxhalls own run happly enough on it with never a problem

To convert veg oil to bio diesel you need to remove the glycerin, (this is what makes it thick), you need 5 litres of methanol and some caustic soda, you then have to heat up the oil to 50c and aggitate it for 1 hour with the methanol caustic soda mix,

Veg oil works a lot better in indirect injection engines, I have personally used it in a peugoet 106 1527cc/or the saxo 1527cc, as these are the same car and engine,

If you use neat veg oil it will start to clean out your fuel system, so expect to change the fuel filter regularly, also veg oil unprocessed is quite a lot thicker than diesel so if you have an air leak on your fuel line, expect it to get a lot worse, then the engine will have a rough tickover, to be safe mix 50/50 with diesel,

and the biggest bonus is there is no fuel duty to pay on the veg oil, so long as you do less than 25,000 miles per year, I think you have to keep your receipts to prove how much you use if you get pulled.

I run it mixed 50/50 in my Escort 55 van. No problems at all.

I'm going to take a look in our branch.

Fuel for the motor.
