You, the registered keeper of the car, have been notified of speeding. If it was you, you need to complete paperwork and return. If it wasn't you, fill in the section saying who WAS driving and return to them.
I had a letter saying I had been doing 38 in a 40.... resulted in the option of me being able to pay £60, and attend a Speed Workshop, and incur no points............... or not attend, pay £60 (I think) and have 3 points added to my licence.
Have a clean licence, so was happy to be given the chance to go the workshop.

points last three years, though you can't have them removed from your licence until four years has passed. insurance companies usually ask if you've any points in last five years, though one speeding conviction is unlikely to alarm them
i think it's likely you'll be offered a speed awareness course under these circumstances.
