healthy toddler ready meals- will add rep for your help

POSTED BY: mummyspam1985 1 month, 3 weeks ago

having kitchen fitted next week. no kitchen till then so was thinking i should get ready meals in. for us and some "healthy" as good as they get anyway toddler meals. any supermarkets got toddler meals deal going on at mo.

has to be toddler ones as she's two and too old for jars, but far to young for salty adult ones. she doesnt have chips, chicken nuggets and stuff like that, under any circumstances not when she still so tiny. thanks anyone who knows. i dont go down that ailse alot so have to go out and search and to be honest i dont have the time to go seraching all the supermarkets (dont drive) and really gotta get cracking on the kitchen painting before they arrive nxt thursday.

rep for anyone who helps, so grateful

thankyou

Why not just cook meals yourself and then freeze them, leaving them ready to just microwave?
That way you not only know whats inside them, you know that your toddler likes the food and will eat it, and you also have full control of what they are eating?
You dont even need to cook special meals if you dont want, just cook a bit extra for the next few days and freeze the extra in its own containers?

that was the plan but i cant get to my chest freezer and my other freezer is already full up, plus really dont have the tme or space to cook. i only have a meter of kitchen surface at the moment. and thats gonna be ripped out when he gets home. so no working space at all. even if had the time.

i dont like giving her shop bought junk but am really stumped, cept if she lives on microwaved jacket potatoes or goes to her grandmas everynight, which i also wouldnt be happy with (like to have her at home with us, as we are her parents after all)

add rep to you, for trying to help

Hi , There is a chain called ' Cook ' that make ready meals for adults and children. I think there website is www.cookfood.net so if there isnt one near you I think they do a home delivery service. They are not the cheapest place to shop but food tastes nice and both my toddler and 5 yr old have eaten their food happily when been stuck for last minute meal for them !!

Yes, someone posted a question about whether it was ok to give your 2yr old a sausage roll or not, there was uproar. Most said it was ok by the way.

i wouldnt give it to my two year old. very high salt content in pastry etc.

i very controlled over her diet, cos she's two and i can be. i know when she goes to school itll be harder to do so but at the moment she depends on me for all her food so i give her healthy ONLY. people think im cruel but ishe doesnt know what sweets, crisps etc taste like so she not missing out on anything.
