I'd think you'd be best on fleabay, wide selection of used goods, massive range of prices etc

urm dunno what fish lol what ever is in the the river tees il have a look on ebay now

I've just had a read lol....sounds a good river in stretches bud..

Personally, go for something like a 10-11ft - 1 and 1/2 test curve rod, which you could use for ledger/float, and a semi decent reel (BB's) with two spools, not limiting yourself on line then when your starting out, 1 could be 8/10lbs, other 4/6lbs

Get you terminal tackle local, ledgers/floats/weights/hooks etc, ebay normally isn't the cheapest for this as you have to pay postage on every small item..

6lbs line, ledger with a size 10, nice bit of cheesepaste - you'll have a few chub in no time!

well im going to my local fishing shop on saterday with £60 so hopefully i will get somthing there i will take you advice on board and look for what you described
