Ahhh, got you now bud...as in a little starter package, rod 'n reel etc

What are you planning on fishing for.....

I'd think you'd be best on fleabay, wide selection of used goods, massive range of prices etc

Quite a specific request you've got there mate when you work out what you want it for - give us a shout if you want any advice..

how about a starter kit from Argos.
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...%3EFISHING.htm

and then if you really do like it then you can upgrade your kit as you go.

or these together

I've just had a read lol....sounds a good river in stretches bud..

Personally, go for something like a 10-11ft - 1 and 1/2 test curve rod, which you could use for ledger/float, and a semi decent reel (BB's) with two spools, not limiting yourself on line then when your starting out, 1 could be 8/10lbs, other 4/6lbs

Get you terminal tackle local, ledgers/floats/weights/hooks etc, ebay normally isn't the cheapest for this as you have to pay postage on every small item..

6lbs line, ledger with a size 10, nice bit of cheesepaste - you'll have a few chub in no time!
