looking for a Nokia E71

hi all, I'm looking for an unlocked Nokia E71. The cheapest I've found so far is on 3 for £218 including £11 quidco but I've heard they won't give you an unlock code until the phone is 12 months old or you have to pay for a code (or both)

The next cheapest is ebuyer mobile for £237.50:

I don't know the latest prices, but I do know that o2 is coming out with it soon (rumoured 13th oct) so it might be worth waiting a while to see what their prices are. I believe o2 phones come unlocked?

I asked O2 customer services and instore, and they have nothing on the system for any October release date or any date at all.

The other new E series E66 is not even going to issued on O2 apparently, which is a shame as the E65 was a cracking handset.

However.... Carphone Warehouse do have the E71 on O2!? Very strange!?

You're absolutely right, popped into an o2 store today as well and they believe its not coming out on o2 officially. However, the upgrade guy I spoke to on the phone a month back said perhaps mid-october.
It appears on CPW as the phone they give you with the contract is not from o2, but one they have sourced themselves. That contract will most likely come with an e71 that is completely unlocked.

It's a shame O2 are not quicker to want to stock the E71 and E66 isn't it, I think that their business handset range is pretty limited at the moment.
