Can someone Please guide me to a XPERIA / N96 Deal?

POSTED BY: Dabbu 1 month, 2 weeks ago

Hi,
my contract with t-mobile has recently ended and i am looking for "smart phone " with unlimited internet...need mainly cross network minutes (anything above 300 minutesis would be just fine).. would have preferred it with t-mobile but i guess they are not offering either of the phones i am looking for.. i would prefer x1 just because it has the qwerty keyboard and wm should have more application .. despite being buggy and slow.. though n96 should also do if there is good deal..
thanks

The XPERIA was due out on September 30th, but it's not appeared online in the UK yet...

Are you referring to WinMo being buggy and slow or the Experia X1?

Vodafone are happy to give me a free upgrade on the X1. My contact is up im just waiting for the phone to come in stock. I talked to the sales dep on the 30th and was told i could keep my current £30 contract which gives me 500 mins and unlimited texts and get the phone for free.

So thats the sort of price you should be looking at.

I have also been in touch with T-mobile and was told the cheapest contract for the Android phone is £40. But for that you get 700 mins and unlimited texts and net.

I have looked at the N96 and from what has been said about the phone its slower than N95 and adds things like TV tuner that is not compatible in the UK and the other additions are not worth the extra money.. Vodafone wanted me to fork out a minimum £45. You can get it for £30 on 3 though its only 300 mins or texts.

Its worthwhile ringing vodafone and bartering when they get the stocks of the X1
