Some on here will say no, but (apart from the U-series range), IMHO the Sony sets are a cracking piece of kit - I have the S3020 and it's superb.

It's horses for courses for some people, personally I don't like Samsungs (the panels are nice, and the picture is good, but the plastic frames are horrid - and reflect badly).

To put this set into context - if you went in somewhere like Currys you would have to spend £10-£20 MORE and would only come away with a Logik or Sharp set - and to be honest, these are rubbish in comparison.

Yes, you can get some sets cheaper than Sony, but Sony's are known for being reliable and well made, plus the picture is crystal clear.

Watching blu-ray edition of 'Planet Earth' through my set looks awesome!

So, for the money, this is a great TV.

Really want to have bricks and mortar retail outlet to do this price so can get John Lewis to price match as they did would not price match Richer Sounds as was not on display.

Can't fault Bravias for quality, and this is the best sub-£400 Bravia at the moment.

PC World price is £449.00
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/sto...&category_oid=

so should be able to pricematch at £362

I was planning on doing a price match as you had explained, but from what you have said it does not seem to have been sucessful; I might try my luck anyway.

Only problem with John Lewis price match is that it takes days to go through.

I know you can get a 5-year warranty with them, however in a load of cases people lose out as by the time they contact the other vendor, they are out of stock (especially when the item is a very low price).

I picked up my Sony from Costco which included a 5 year warranty, but that was for just over £400.

they dont match tvs with play, but worth a try at your local PCWorld store, chances are quite high you'll get some nonce to do it for you, they might even knock 10% the total price if you're really lucky
