No More Confirmed Addresses Needed for Ebay as of today 7/10/08

POSTED BY: casparwhite 1 month, 2 weeks ago

as the title suggests there is now no need to send to a confirmed address as ALL sellers are now covered with expanded seller protection

this was previously only for powersellers who chose to opt in

Good for sellers as they have more protection, but unfortunately I see this being (even more of) a scammers paradise.

The ebay fee's are there for you to see and there are calculators available to work out fee's upfront for ebay and paypal, no-one makes you list on there

I dont think as suggested this is going to help scammers further in fact the opposite because before if you didnt send to the confirmed address then the buyer could claim Item not received and win a dispute because it wasnt sent to a confirmed address, now they cant.

no. this was the final value fee, i knew what the listing fee was! You can't work out fee's on an auction.

Anyway, let me have my rant, it miserable outside and I'm cold! lol

LOL fair enough then,

I dont think you will find anybody who likes their fee's and we would all like to pay less but for me its still a good sales arena as I get more than by selling through small ads even after fee's and it sure as hell beats standing at a cold car boot sale over the winter months, besides which i'm hampered as I dont have transport

For example I could have a modded xbox with larger hard drive on a carboot or small ads at £30 and it wont sell, yet the same xbox I can stick on ebay and get £55 for within hours of listing it (based on experience)
