    Just to clear this up - there are sections of this film in which the spoken dialogue is in Cantonese, and subtitles are “baked in” to the image for some scenes where there are visual effects applied to the subtitles. It’s quite unique and effective if you’ve seen the film and know what I’m referring to, but this is why the subs are forced in French for this French release.

    Although some 4K players CAN download and play additional subtitles (for example, in English), this will be on TOP of the burnt-in French subtitles, so for the majority of the film, you’ll have two subtitle tracks, which isn’t ideal.

    Love this film - one of my favourites - but not for everyone! I’m still holding out hope for a UK release, but heat added as this is a good price.

    As much as I'm not here to tell people how to spend their money, as on blu-ray dot com it tells people that some parts of the film on 4K need English Subs that are only on English language editions.

    Just buy the US release with English subtitles for the Cantonese spoken parts of the Film

    Agreed. Put this same story in under the Marvel Multiverse banner and it wouldn't have gotten in to hoover the red carpet let alone walk it.
