Not only is this lot far from complete, it contains not one of their best works....

It seems to be part of a series- this is just 1927.

I'm assuming this "Year One" collection is the same- it also includes 13 restored shorts from 1927- but it's £33.64!

Laurel and Hardy still funny in 2024 and always will be. It is amazing how well their comedy aged. Compare to Charlie Chaplin and I can well imagine you wouldn't find many young folk like his comedy any more.

Agreed, I always preferred Laurel and Hardy to Chaplin - they had the advantage of speech though of course.

That said I recently enjoyed the Chaplin biopic from 1992- great performance from Robert Downey Jr, and I liked seeing the movie-making processes from those days.
