    If within 2m of the boundary Iine you will need planning permission, and no, you cannot say "it's a temporary structure"

    I bought a similar Yardistry gazebo early last year from Costco - very impressed with it , excellent build quality (and that does also mean its very heavy) takes a while to set up but worth doing properly.

    I have this, it really doesn't take much effort to chop legs at the bottom a few inches for planning restrictions.
    Apart from the height issue I have to say it's pretty great, well engineered, Canadian so made to hold a lot of snow on roof. Only slightly annoying thing is rattle roof in the rain, I've seen people put a kind of spongy fabric on the underside to dampen the sound of rain.
