Last Toyo Proxes I had fitted to a car were Garbage on damp/wet roads but good in the dry.

Replaced them with admittedly more expensive goodyear Eagle F1's and the difference in the wet was like night and day

Had these on my mr2 (sw20) and 100% agree, good in the dry and rubbish in the damp, bit better on full wet road - though that car is always bit scary (fun) in the wet. (edited)

Before buying I'd recommend finding someone who will fit tyres bought from a 3rd party and how much. I bought a pair earlier in the year and was unpleasantly surprised at how many places no longer fit tyres they've not sold and those that did the prices had gone. a couple of years back I paid £10-£15 each for fitting and balancing and now the cheapest I could find was £25each.

Same in our area. Find a garage prepared to fit before buying your own tyres!

Good price. I've always found Proxies to we well priced, good grip though not long lasting. It's the price you pay when the compound is reasonably soft and grippy. Well worth the money IMO, if you can find a decent tyre installer who won't charge over the odds.

Wish they were 16”’ for that price as I need a set

Used two sets of these on a small hybrid car, they definitely don't last as long as premium tyres.....Bridgestone Ecopia lasted 26k miles on front tyres..... same driving and Proxes Comfort were at wear indicators at 17k miles......BUT they are cheaper so costs are actually similar overall I reckon (edited)

Last Toyo tyres I bought had horrible wet performance, these get much better review.

I brought the 16s when they where last one sale.

Much better than some budget brand which were on the car.

It's worth checking black circles for tyres and fitting. As I paid £20 a corner for fitting. Which in hindsight isn't much different to black circles garage local to me.
