Knock off that probably doesn't have the specified capacity or with errors. Different speeds too.
Yes, this is more likely with a fake device. Also fake reporting of disk space. Important to mention that cleanly removing drives is really really important too. I can’t over state that. I’ve seen a lot of people trash drives by just ejecting them mid-write, or without following the correct eject procedure. You may get away with doing that a few times, but if you do it often you will entually be unlucky and wreck your memory. P
Reliable
Yes, sure
Any card that has SDXC on it, is the preferred card to use in the Switch, even mentioned it in the instructions booklet. So them type of SD card are perfectly fine to use in a Switch.
No point in buying one with such high read write speeds if a cheaper one would do.
What does a fake memory card mean? Is it one that doesn’t function as a memory card at all, or do you mean it’s just a knock-off/clone of a premium brand?
It doesn't have high-end write speeds. Notice they say "transfer speed". Read speeds are fine, write speeds are from a decade ago.
There was a deal recently these were £11 delivered I think. I got one. Type in the search SanDisk. Might have been called My Memory (the retailer.) all arrived perfect.
Or more likely, it fails after a few months when you've filled it with vital data.
