It gets brownie points for not having a dire front suspension fork but the 3x drivetrain with a wobbly freewheel will not be easy to keep dialled in. These type of bikes are better kept simple with a 1x drivetrain and mega range freewheel. As it is, its ok for a cheap bike, perhaps commuting where there is a risk of theft. I notice nowadays there isn't even the money to provide a steel fork with curved tapered blades to give a suspension effect over bumps you just get straight blades so they have probably saved 25 cents at the factory. Cheap bikes are getting even more basic it seems although this bike wastes money on a second shifter, front derailleur and 3x crankset. 3 items that do not improve this bike and make it more of a pain in maintenance even if easier up hills. I think a 32T chainring at the front and 14-34T mega range freewheel at the back would have saved money and meant it was a better bike for general use and less maintenance.

Budget bikes can't seem to move away from these terrible threaded forks and taped stems. I know they provide adjustment but that's what pivoting 1/8 threadless stems are for.

Saw a challenge bike out for the scrap man last week.

I wish people would stop posting links to Argos BSOs. They're cheap for a reason.

More fuel is used making them and then scrapping them than is ever saved riding them.
