I got one similar model which was in offer a few weeks ago for £45, very close specifications but without track. Nice piece of tool.
I only wonder if I can get the track and will that be compatible with mine...

    R185CCSX - 185mm Circular Saw
    R185CCSX+ - 185mm Circular Saw

If it's one of these models then you can get the tracks from evolution direct and they have some like new ones with 11 quid off

Okay cut but dont expect super accuracy
The track is okay but I end up build my own jig with 9mm MDF, more solid and accurate than the track.
Dust extraction is non existence... use in outdoor only

The long sections of evolution track, I've had both 700mm and 1400mm track, are as accurate as any other brand unless you've happened to have a defected section.
The 3 small 300mm pieces attached aren't perfect because it's hard to get them butted fully together.
You do have to ensure you've snugged the saw into the rail, there's an adjustment knob for doing so which is the same for all brands of track saw.

Anyone have issue getting the saw to line up properly on the tracks? I’m not sure if I’ve set the blade properly but it keeps catching the rubber edge of the track saw?

The blade will trim back the rubber edge the first time you use it. It’s designed slightly bigger than it needs to be, so that you can use the cut rubber edge as an accurate guide to line up your cuts.

Had this for years and it's a good tool for the money. Switched to a plungesaw because it was annoying needing so much space at the start and end of a cut.
Dust collection isn't great, but it never is on a circular saw.

Mine is the + model. (edited)

Is there an edge guide as well as a track? I kinda need both, and my 20+ year old saw took up smoking the other day...
    mattclarkie's avatar
It does, not very good but the edge guides never are.

Seems like a decent saw for the money, there's a couple of youtube reviews showing quite a few good points and only a couple of bad points.

I have the R185CCSX+ I remember the difference was that it has the two section longer tracks (many recommend it over the 3 shorter). The mains lead was also much longer and I believe also it had a light where the other one didn't. One of the best features with the blade it has, it cuts through wood and metal no problems. (edited)

Anyone used 110v version of this saw on site? How does it work with vacuum? Any good deal compared to festool, dewalt etc?
