The 16th standalone entry in the legendary Final Fantasy series marks a darker turn for the RPG franchise, with a complex tale of revenge, power struggles and unavoidable tragedy.

Enter the dark fantasy world of Valisthea in this highly anticipated single-player action RPG. Play as Clive Rosfield, First Shield of Rosaria and guardian of his younger brother Joshua, the Dominant of the Eikon Phoenix, in this epic action RPG from a team of Final Fantasy veterans.

Reviews:

Metacritic (87/8.1)

Final Fantasy XVI reimagines the series' iconic summons as Eikons. These deadly creatures are housed within Dominants, men and women who inherit their immense power at birth - whether they like it or not.

Eikons are the most powerful beings in Valisthea, a land where six powerful realms have emerged thanks to the power of the Mothercrystals. The aether provided by these towering mountains of crystal powers the magicks that have allowed these nations to thrive for many years but now a mysterious Blight threatens to disrupt their uneasy alliance.

Great price and pretty good game. Very cutscene heavy.

All mainline FF games are cutscene heavy. 🙃

Cracking price. Fun game. Had very satisfying combat imo and enjoyed the characters and setting.

Scorcher. Game was tiresome towards the end imo. Still a great price and game, just get bored of action games

Mmmm the setting and game of thrones style put me off this. Is it worth £25?

Lifetime FF fan as are many of my friends, not played it yet myself as waiting on the PC release but the consensus of my friends it doesn't feel like a proper FF game due to the setting and style, but is good enough game, but as a Final Fantasy game it doesn't hold up

How long till this comes to PS Plus Extra?

Probably not for a while as it’s selling well and actually has dlc expansions that people are interested in unlike FF15. With FF15 they had to cancel the planned dlc as the current episodes flopped and lost them money.

Is this reduction because they will bring out a version with the dlc like they did with 15?

The season pass is 20 quid and includes both dlc expansions. Any sort of complete edition of FF16 will probably cost around 50 quid at launch and won’t include the dlc on the disc.

FFXV Royal Edition had the dlc codes. FF7 Intergrade was the same.

Is this game grindy and full of "fluff" ? FF7 Remake has put me off "recent" FF games (I played the originals on PS1).
