Was out of stock for the last months and now they have it again. Quite a decent deal considering the lens.

OVERVIEW
The new FUJIFILM X-T30, offers similar performance to the FUJIFILM X-T3, in a smaller and lighter body. It has the same phase-detection AF system with almost 100% frame coverage, blackout-free high-speed continuous shooting of up to 30fps, monochrome adjustment function, Color Chrome effect and Sports Viewfinder mode while also offering functions that cater to the less professional photographer, such as the Advanced SR Auto function as well.

That's actually not a great deal. It's been on sale cheaper on amazon recently if I'm not mistaken. Wonderful camera mind you

Dunno, is a good 400-500 less than rrp, the 18-55 kit lenscosts about 250 from memory. Not saying it hasn’t been cheaper mind. (edited)

I'd be tempted by the X-T20 with the same lens for £549, oos at mo though.

The cheaper version would have the XC 18-55mm

I've got one myself and find the images great, the only minor downside rly is the autofocus is not the best (struggles at times taking child photos) and basically dropped from future firmware support. Personally I would save a little more and buy the new xs10 (edited)

X-T30 ditched the D-Pad. Major disadvantage since that's 5 less programmable buttons. If you're going to venture into semi-pro / serious shooting, using programmable buttons is a prerequisite. Can't live without them.

No it’s not... an ISO/SS/aperture and you’re all good! I do live spare function buttons, but they are not essential... look at a Leica M class body, simplification has its own zen of less complexity. (edited)

Haha, Fuji don't seem to agree.

Their pro APS-C Cameras (X-T2 / T3 / T4) all have the d-pad as well as the joystick.

Programmable buttons serious photographers use for things like aspect ratio / focus area options / metering / focus peaking / things that you could perhaps change with every shooting session/burst.

For ISO/Aperture/Shutter dials (wheels) are much more suitable. All the Sony A7x's, Nikon Z's, Canon R's and pretty much all mid-high end cameras have plenty enough dials.

gfx-50r, x100v being their consumer range?

focus area, metering, focus peaking (as default for manual focus) normally have a dedicated button/switch... burst options and bracketing contained in a drive menu, again with a dedicated button.

d pad depicts old tech generally... I personally hate touch screen and have it turned off, but it’s just the way it is.
