While excelling in mobility and portability, the compact body considers the weight balance of the advanced functions when shooting.

The lens covers the range from 25mm wide-angle to 600mm tele with a 24x zoom. i.ZOOM achieves 32x zoom with 4K resolution, and 48x zoom with FHD. * 35mm camera equivalent.

Face Detection captures subjects free from out-of-focus and exposure problems. Color recognition improves tracking when faces move to either side.

In both UHD/FHD modes, in addition to Optical Image Stabilization, Electronic Image Stabilization detects and corrects handshake in the 5-axis direction.

Two Manual Rings are provided for focusing and zoom/iris operation. The ease of use is improved by using different-sized rings in the front and rear, so they can be distinguished by the fingers.

Supports a high bit rate of 200 Mbps for 59.94p/50p video recording with HEVC (LongGOP/10 bit 4:2:0/MOV) codec, and 120/100fps Super Slow-motion with 10-bit recording in FHD.

    Very limited use cases for these devices these days. given that we have mirrorless cams that can do a lot more

    Not in a portable body that has a built in 25mm - 600mm lens though. For sports and reportage these are excellent handheld devices and the ergos are way better than hybrid/photo cameras for filming.

    This is old tech now. Unless you specifically need the camcorder form factor, you're better off getting something like an A7C with a nice lens.

    A7C with a Sony 200-600, not quite so portable! No wide angle capability without other lenses either.

    I'm pretty sure you could squeeze something decent out of a S23 Ultra with its 10x zoom... I know not the best but those lenses cover lots of focal lengths and it doesn't look like you're "from the media" when u go round filming...
