About this deal

next best deal I can find is £360 for the similar model on the same site or £450 ish on other sites so this seems to be a good saving

Ive done a few MTB trails at isherwood pines with work and loved it. Bang for buck is this a good deal for me as a beginner in the field?

It’s fine for local riding on flats, but no good for MTB trails with anything more than green trails as the fork only has 100mm travel. I’d say you need 120mm for blues and then 140mm for reds minimum. It’s ok to get you into cycling and fitness but just don’t expect great things.

Am just here wondering if I should get the Scott Contessa active 40 2024 version for 380£ or the Scott Contessa Active 20 2022 version for 440£

This is no good at all unless you only need a bike for casual use.

Balfes bikes are the worst shops I've ever bought from.
I'd stay clear of these cowboys...

I know, I know... Scott is hot and Carrera is cold, but trust me... Carrera is better. (edited)
